How to turn USB audio off?

I want to use the op-1 as a midi controller but if I connect it to the ipad it becomes my default audio interface. Is there a way to turn USB audio off so I can use my audio interface instead of the op-1?

Use it in MIDI controller mode, if you only want to use it for MIDI.

If you still want it to make sounds out of its own speaker (or jack output), just plug the OP-1 into your iPad first, and then plug in your audio interface. The iPad always uses the last-connected USB audio interface.

You’re using some kind of USB hub with the iPad, right?

In midi controller mode you don’t have access to the sequencers
