a couple weeks ago, I borrowed my friend’s OP1 field, and I fell in love with the tape recorder and drum sampler, which I used more as a “record from the radio, and chop up random spoken word programs and world music” chopper.
Loved the op1 so much, I bought a ko2 (can’t afford an op1 yet!), but then started searching for that “record to tape vibe”
I am surprised how little there is out there, it seems nobody offers a destructive tape recording / looper… so I made one.
If there are any reaper people out there, I released some free reaper plugins, has most of the features of the TE tape recorder, minus the tape scrub type stuff, but I did add reverse recording, and recording at half and double speed, more speeds to come, when I have the time to puzzle it out.
I also just pushed a sampler like the drum sampler as an iOS app, to the app store - a mix of Koala sampler and the TE stuff (love the koala if nobody has used it)
my goal is to wrap it all up in a looping suite mac app that just takes a single bus from wherever, and then do some crazy looping on it.

More info on my site https://waveloop.app for any that are interested. Hope this is ok, I just wanted to share my love for the workflows of this gear. Loving my KO2!
