This summer, I explored the sonic potential of the semi-modular Moog Matriarch, sometimes using other gear like op1-field. My goal was to record and share one session each day, learning to accept the outcome regardless of the result. The sessions were spontaneous and improvised. I relied mainly on intuition and my ear, often surprised by where the Matriarch led me. Its fully analog nature (patch cables, no preset memory, tuning instability) makes it similar to classical instruments, despite its electronic roots. Its unpredictability often inspired me in the most unexpected musical circumstances.
Paraphony is a selection of fragments from those recorded sessions. These are the most cohesive moments, bearing traces of composition.
