I’d love to be able to access files like you can with a computer. Basically send files back and forth without the help of a computer. Are any work arounds that any of you know of. Maybe with a jail broken iPad?
i think it works if u have one of those devices that transfers via its own wifi hotspot.
a cheapo android device with OTG functionality is a solution
+1 jailbreak
I use iFile to transfer files in every which way possible. Also, I use an external HD Much like the one above too.
Here’s how you can do it.
Since we are on the subject, does anyone know of an app or Cydia tweak that can save any files to iCloud or direct to external HD? I’m down two 2 GB in my 32 GB iPad Air and it’s a pain in the neck to be constantly trashing things left and right. I almost feel like I should delete every non music production app and use the iPad for music and web surfing ONLY. so sad…
Thanks guys! I’ll try out some of these different ways.
I’ve got an app called Phone Drive that keeps asking me to back up on cloud but I haven’t done it yet,so I don’t know how useful it will be for you.
The Kingston Mobilite is much cheaper than the iUSBport2 above, FYI.
@Spheric_El sweet, Phone Drive looks like a fleshed out version of iFile. Does it “inter-app” with your iOS DAWs or is it standalone?
I’m not that advanced @Kites ,I don’t use DAWs on my iPod ,only one or two apps at a time.Phone Drive has jus been a quick ,easy way of storing things and viewing.I guess it’s stand alone. It is free initially.
@spacetravelmadeeasy this is pretty good work, thanks for the tip
Apotop Wi Reader and app works great. Portable and useful for other stuff too.
