I know that the OP-1 sums a stereo signal to mono but is the 3.5mm input jack stereo?
If it is I have an idea for an update: to be able to link tracks 1 and 2 and tracks 3 and 4 so that stereo signals through the input can be recorded into the unit in stereo.
I tend to use stereo effects on my vocals and guitar which I play over the loops and sounds I’ve made in the OP-1 and it seems a shame to not use those stereo sounds.
I have a Zoom H4n which allows you to link two mono channels to create a single stereo channel in a similar manner.

That’s true, I’m sure I’ve recorded stereo on to album before. The benefit of being able to link tracks as described above is it would allow users to bounce stereo recordings, which would be cool.
I just got myself an OP-Z and really enjoying it so far. I’m wondering if the OP-Z plus a decent stereo recorder might eventually replace my OP-1. I really love the OP-1 for live recording guitar and vocals and then layering drums and synths over it.
I’ll probably end up keeping both
