this has happened a few times, last time i didn’t pay attention and regretted it:
When updating with the Midi updater, after its complete, it sits on this screen saying “done! wait for device to restart”… forever… it doesn’t ever restart.
Last time this happened, i turned it off, and it corrupted the update which resulted in constant crashes. What should I do here? Anyone else experience this?
I’ve never seen the message “wait for device to restart” only a message telling me to restart it. Which I’ve done and never had an issue.
Just re-read your post and realised I’ve never updated the OP-XY with the WebMidi update tool. I’m on a Mac and for that I’d have to use Chrome, so I just put the OP-XY into Boot Mode (hold COM whist powering on) then drag the downloaded update to the OP-XY. When I eject the drive (the OP-XY) from my Mac, it then starts to update, and then I get the message saying it is done, and for me to restart the OP-XY.
If I were you, try this method of updating it.
