Keeping the OP-1 Field Plugged In

Hello! Just wondering if it’s OK practice to keep the OP-1 Field plugged in. I’ve heard various superstitions about lithium batteries over the years, and wonder if there’s any merit to not keeping it at 100% as often as possible.

Thanks,
law

generally speaking, it is bad for battery health to keep it at 100% or at 0%. trying to minimize the time spent at 100% and 0% will decrease the rate at which the battery degrades over time. so to answer your question directly, most manufactures advice against doing that. i peronsally would not do that if i were you. but plenty of people do.

Just wondering why it’s always plugged in? Mine is almost never plugged in.

Chris (as usual) is right

And Li-on batteries are kind of alive so it’s best to let them stay between 5%-95%

Never let them overcharge /continuously (definitely not for more than a couple hours)
Never let em stay dead at 0% for over a week
