KO2 downsampling files to fit more

Hi,

Im trying to downsample my files to fit more on the device.

I use switch audio file converter to downsample them to 11khz, 8 bit, .Wav files. I also tried 11hz, 16bit, .Wav files but nothing seems to work. I just keep getting load errors in the sample tool.

Whenever I downsample them to mp3 it seems to work but then it automatically turns them back into .Wav files and the sizereturns to original: before downsampling.

Anybody had this issue? Tips?

pretty sure i tried this myself when the KO2 first came out
if i remember correclty, the sample utility will automatically convert all sounds loaded
into the .wav format that it likes. its some weird non standard sample rate.

so basically downsampling your sounds and hten loading htem doesn’t get u any more sample time unfortunately

have you tried pitching up the original sample? makes it faster = shorter sample = smaller file size
