Got myself a little confused last night. I like the idea/workflow of quickly lifting a track and putting into sampler to then apply more fx etc. But Im sure i read something about placing the lifted sample into a free sample slot? When I lift and then select sampler - there are tons of presets/existing samples (but nothing which gives off the impresssion of a free slot) which Im then dropping into. Does this mean that existing sample Im dropping into is being sacrificed somehow?
Don’t worry… little scary at first coz you think you’re trashing a preset, but you’re not - you can always just reload a preset and it will be in its original form again. Just grab any sampler preset and drop your audio over the top of it. If you like, you could create yourself a “SILENCE” or “EMPTY” and choose that one every time.
