Maximum tape time

I have a question that seems a bit unclear from the manual. I’m going to be performing a solo OP1 set and wanted to load some field recordings onto the 4 tracks of tape and was wondering how many total minutes roughly can I fit on there so I can plan/edit my recordings to an appropriate length. Does anyone have experience maxing out the amount of material in the tape memory?

The manual says 6 minutes of record time. Is that 6 minutes total divided by 4? I feel like I’ve had more than that loaded before, so is it safe to assume it’s actually 6 minutes for each of the 4 tracks?

Thanks!

You can lower the tape speed and fit more than six minutes of material on the four tracks, but recording fidelity becomes lower as you reduce speed.

& does overdubbing reduce the total record time?

No.

Thanks.
