My OP-1 traveled in time :)

18 years into the future, that is. Saved a new synth patch and then saw what’s shown in the photos. The date & time were all OK when I did a backup a couple of weeks ago. I guess something must have happened around the time when one day found the battery totally drained, the OP wouldn’t even power up. After a full night of charging everything was back to normal. Well, almost normal, since the synth had spent the last couple of weeks in the year 2033. Why and how, can’t tell, but hey, we’re talking about an OP-1 here so what’s weird elsewhere is totally normal in OP-World.

lol mine usually goes back to 2010 when it does this. Never had it travel forward, though.

When I got my OP-1, it was set to 2045. Did it arrive from the future (or past) for anyone else as well?

I had the same issue with the battery totally drained ^^. I have to try this again !

Time travel must be pretty exhausting after all …

Tip:

1. set your OP-1 to MIDI CH 8
2. enter and set date / time of you liking
3. hold close to your chest and fall asleep
4. report back the next day…

This tip is too much dangerous @Kites ! That’s insane !

I did all that @Kites said. Now I and my OP-1 are in the year 2072… We don’t like it there…it’s all too …steampunk. Any tips on how to return?

How is the music up there ? Record some !!

And still no update…

That’s a nice battle idea, “Make a 2072 music” ! Or maybe 2115 to check the next century :stuck_out_tongue:

Go to the nearest hardware store, buy a hover-board, flux capacitor and self tying shoes. Then set HB speed to 88 miles per hour and pray for a thunder-storm.

ProTip: Remember to record some music from 2072 and when you get back, play it at your local High School prom and claim to be a forward thinking, misunderstood genius.

Hmm… should have thought all of the above… … but in the meantime we went to the year 1072… as soon as the folks spotted me in my evil clothing and with the diabolic contraption in my hand known to most of us as the Operator-1, they captured us and now we’re waiting for our doom right upon the stake… I’m lucky, the OP-1 is still with me, nobody dares to touch or let alone look at the devil’s machine…poor medieval fellas, if only they knew I’m about to start the ‘Marx was right’ sketch sequence with heavy CWO fx added, causing dismay and distraction …and at the right moment we’ll be sliding again …

Yep - my OP-1 did this too (I expect when the battery drained). It went to 2075. Only just noticed this tonight and had to set the date back to today and alter the names of some of my futuristic saved files
