My PO-32 just shipped

So can you upload new sounds to Po-32 via the patternerium and not just the microtonic vst ?

Not directly, but I think sonic charge has a video on it.

Edit - they sure do

Ahh cool alright, so you need to buy the bundle to get the full experience. Thx @steveoath

^ And that’s why I think Sonic Charge will not release the data transfer protocol specification, otherwise people would easily develop an application to create PO-32 sound patches (although that would lack the realtime feedback of the official one).

Hey if there’s a Linux user among the people that are getting or have gotten a PO-32, I’d appreciate if you’d take the time to test if Microtonic works with Wine! Couldn’t find definite info online, that’s what’s keeping me from getting the bundle…

Did “TENCHO” make it into production (I guess it did) or did they catch it in time (I guess they either didn’t, or did and thought “art”)?

CB

@cloudburst It’s still “TENCHO” and I like it. :slight_smile:

It says techno in the manual though

I don’t think my OCD could deal with TENCHO. I’ll sit this one out

CB

There should be a HIC-CUP tempo to go along with that…

It says techno in the manual though :)

Not in the online version: https://www.teenageengineering.com/guides/po-32/en

I had a BIM & tonic (no lime) for lunch. It was tasty!

The bar is open !

Some of the early videos of the tonic on YouTube are sounding great. It seems to carry more weight (in sound terms) than any other PO.

Got mine recently - yay! As @steveoath says there is definitely a notch-up in sound quality. I didn’t really appreciate until now how great it is to marry Microtonic with the PO. The VST is deceptively powerful and being able to design your own sounds and then carry them around in your pocket is the next level of POs IMHO.

A letter from Teenage Engineering has now been posted in Sweden and is on its way to you.

Yummi yummi yummi !!

:D

For anyone who has microtonic. Is it easy to dial in sounds? I mainly use samples of 80s style drums in my stuff, but could be tempted with the tonic if the tonic can get close to these style of sounds.

microtonic seems pretty straightforward , though be sure to grab the individual download of 3.2 , not the one in the sonic plugins pack.

theres a demo available , probably best you dig in yourself

i did this yesterday…

Just got it today. Sounds great!! I dig how the for vertical rows function like choke groups do to the 4 voice poly.

Also, it’s loud like the first gen POs. Super!!
