But I'm guessing the PO's make a lot of sense to Teenage Engineering commercially.Their partnership with Cheap Monday offering super affordable synths must be making them a lorra lorra money!
I am guessing that the POs are acting as a gateway into the OP1 too for some users.
^ nah there’s too much of a price gap there.
I’m not under NDA… but ethically (and so I don’t risk my job) I will say nothing! : - P

^ nah there's too much of a price gap there. If people are getting into PO's I'd bet they'd then be getting some Korg Volcas, MircoBrutes etc - especially as they sync well with the PO's :)
That’s right, and that was my case (had a PO, Volca Beats, Volca Sample and some Arduino Synths). Until I decided to sell almost everything and get an OP-1 already. I had the PO-16 just for fun, but it actually made me realize how much TE put into User Experience and design. So yeah, at least for me it was a gateway drug instrument.
More than that : find a way to record some Cuckoo + SammyJams jam !

Funny, I made the opposite journey. I bought the OP-1 first, never played any synth before. Because it was so well designed in term of user experience and so much fun, I bought a first PO (16), then another one (12), and the third one (14).
I spend more time on the PO during my daily commute than with the OP-1 at home so I am very happy if there are more PO’
I love the PO-12. I think it sits right along expensive modular gear just fine. Really excited to hear what these new ones are about.

TL; couldn’t be bothered to look - Strymon releasing something not a pedal (possible Euro?)
Also, a Roland A-01 boutique sized module for CV and some whacky 8-bit synth? o.O

Whoa. That Roland Boutique controller thing. That’s the first bit of new gear from Roland in a while that’s actually piqued my interest.
Hmmmm…
it’s just a mockup, but an interesting one
I think that Kassetenspieler is a hoax. Or just not ready. Looks like Waldorf is pushing hard on their new Eurorack stuff for this NAMM. (That KB37 is looking sexy as hell).
You might be right, added that it’s a mockup after just reading that it was one elsewhere.
In other news, is Akai just being cheeky or…

“It’s easy to forgot how great the analog AX series synths sounded. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of its release, check out this #tbt sound demo video. Might be a great board for us to bring back…”

Definitely going to be a Strymon euro entry. There’s a eurorack section on their site with the product name Generalissimo. Some people are speculating it’s going to be a a euro version of their Brigadier delay.
I would love love love an El Cap or Deco in euro though.

I haven’t kept up with the specific rumours, but “Generalissimo” sounds like either of these two things to me.
A) A general name for any new project. Even in the description on their homepage it sort of says that. http://www.strymon.net/products/generalissimo/
B) The name (which I personally doubt is a real product name) suggests a multi purpose unit. Perhaps with several of the effects from the other boxes? Since they’re all based on SHARC processors, this should be entirely possible.
I’ll visit their booth and find out. I think they’re a top effect company.
