I want to upgrade OG OP1‘s from #241 to final #246. my OP1 is brand new and of the last charges that were available. Now I wonder, as it has fresh battery, if there is any #246 related known anything, that might change the battery behavior, like faster draining, charging-bugs or something to be aware of?

hi fabian. im on latest 246 and i recently tested my battery life. one thing ive observed is that with real active use, the battery lasted almost 16 hours before shutting off! the manual says 8-9 hours of active use, so i was very happy with this performance.
one odd thing though is that the battery indicator does not seem accurate. i went from all 5 LED, to just one blinky LED after 4 or 5 hours of use. i was able to proceed playing it for another 11 hours before it actually shut off.

Regarding the odd LED meter you can do the following: if you let the battery drain completely while OP1 is powered, let it shut off itself but leave the power button in On-position, then plug the cable with a phone-wallcharger (don’t hook it up on a laptop etc, though, as this will charge forever) and let it charge till it’s finished, you should then getting your LED-meter back to normal:)
In my experience one of those older IPhone-chargers(not a powerboost-one) will do.
btw: Did you upgrade yourself or was 246 preinstalled when you got our OP1 back then?
i had to install it. mine came with 245. very simple.
