Hey, since OG has it‘s great and perfect effects, like it’s spring reverb I Really love esp. as stereo-master bus, I sometimes like to add a different tone of FX. I use a Polara Pedal for a lush-ish clean reverb (it preserves chopped down but still nice lexicon algorithms). But it needs to be powered, which is not every time the optimal case when you’re on the go. So, since there‘s USB audio, I thought about using an iPad or iPhone as an effect-through, like having a reverb in GarageBand or standalone-app and run Dry OP-Signal through device and back into OP live. Do you have experience by something like that? Is it even possible at all?
I thought about an IRig as a solution, but maybe it’s also possible with just USB?
I don’t know if it is possible with USB alone, but I bet you could do it with a USB C hub like this one. You could use USB to send audio into GarageBand and then use the headphone jack to your line in on the op-1. It takes two cables, but it would be portable.
if your ipad/iphone has a lightning connector, you need a USB to lightning converter a.k.a. CCK Camera Connection Kit. There is the original one from apple and no-name knock-offs for a fraction of the price. The OP-1 will then show up in your ipad app (I recommend AUM) as a USB input/output. For Reverb, I can recommend the Eventide Blackhole app, which you can also run as a plug-in in a host app like AUM.
i think going back into the OP1 causes issue
because there is no way to choose what gets sent out to the USB (or the main for that matter)
it all just goes whether u want it to or not
so when u plug back into the OP1 its gunna send back out hte USB again
and u are gunna get a nice feedback loop going
