I just bought a used OP-1 and was excited to load some drumkits onto it, but as soon as I plugged it into my laptop and put it in disk mode, my laptop froze. I’ve retried multiple times, and it seems that any time I interact with the OP-1’s files, it freezes and only unfreezes when I unplug it or switch it to a different mode. I updated my laptop’s drivers and OS, installed the latest OP-1 firmware (there’s no problem with that, weirdly), factory reset it and reformatted the drive, and it’s still giving me problems.
From what I can find online, it’s an issue that happens with USB drives, and most people suggest just getting a new one. I’m guessing most of those people don’t have USB drives that cost over a thousand dollars, so that’s not really an option for me.
If anyone’s experienced this before and knows what to do about it, please let me know. I really don’t want to be stuck with a partially-working OP-1.
