OP-1 Field Firmware 1.7.0 bug?

I use a Roland UM-ONE cable to send receive midi to and from Octatrack MKII. it worked great. After update to 1.7.0 I had the issue with stopping/starting tape transport on OP-1 F from my Octatrack. Transport START doesn’t work. If I start tape transport on OP-1F and hit STOP on Octatrack it stops I downgraded to 1.6.9 and it worked correctly again. Anyone else? Bummer.

figured it out-- somehow midi setting got changed from midi sync- it was on beat match. work fine now

I recently updated to 1.7.0 and have since experienced two crashes, both under similar circumstances: while tape is playing, toggling between master EQ and master effect pages, the crash occurs resulting in a high pitched screeching sound that continues after power off for a few seconds. powering back on, seems like everything is how I left it so at least there’s that.

I just had this exact same crash with the high pitched whine. Think I was switching windows from the master fx.

Since updating to 1.7.0 I can not enter the settings menu (shift + metronome key). Only me?

The menu has been moved; it is now in the Shift+Com menu and the Sys key T1.

Gotta annoying bug when fine tuning loop points in sample mode: the display doesn’t follow the position of the knobs, and the marker even disappears half of the time.

Hi did you report this to te? I filed a bug report and they’re actually being quite helpful in getting back to me. They say they haven’t been able to replicate the issue so any extra info you can give them would be super helpful!

Yesterday I encountered an “Init factory” behaviour when I powerd on the device… without any visible good reason. Not a big deal for me as I always backup data, and this is not the 1rst time it happens after upgrading. I highly recommand you force a factory init after updating to be sure the device is in clean state. My 2 cents.

I also had some strange glitches when renaming a particular file. I should remember which one to report to TE.

PS: Got it: try to rename a file “STREO BASSES#” (without double-quote of course), it’s pretty funny.

PS #2: bug report 264597 filled.

They couldn’t reproduce the loop position problem? Damn… I encounter it systematically: I have to zoom in by clicking on the knobs to adjust the position precisely, then move the beginning and end of the loop to the right or left. And tadam!
