OP-1 trick: arpeggio from sampling octaves

Was listening to Song Exploder and the recent interview of The 1975. The band mentions using an OP-1 and they had a neat trick: they sample three notes into the sampler, each an octave apart, and then playing chords automatically makes a free-time arpeggio.

You can hear them talk about it here https://songexploder.net/the-1975, at the 8 minute mark.

Holy wow yes!!! Just made some arps in the TAL juno vst for my microSAMPLER that my wife plays on stage. Instant vibe! & especially good cause the MS1 has no loop point setting :))))))))
