@RTK the factory would be a great idea.

Users could custom load the modules/synths/effects/features that are needed for their own unique workflow.
TE could make extra money from releasing and selling new software bits and bobs all the time
OR they could release the API and people could develop (and sell) their own bits and bobs in a marketplace

Hey there. Iā€™m new, bought my Op-1 second hand this week and I love it!!!

Concerning a future update, as they seems to love working with people like Magnus Lidstrƶm, I would love to see them work with one of the Sugar Bytes engineer, as I really love the Sugar Bytes plugins.
I hope they will be able to continue to work on the Op-1, still it is already a great machine!

As a relatively new user who's really into drum programming the primary feature request that is really troublesome to me...

PLEASE GIVE US SOMEWAY TO CHOKE DRUMS/SAMPLES.

I really can't get my groove on so far (the swing is really nice though, far better and funkier than I expected). Fingers crossed.

Agreed, Iā€™m hoping for more simple / standard updates too. Choke would be nice and also a way of changing the note division on the tape. A more ambitious wish would be for some kind of parameter locking, or changing sketch from a sequencer (that I never use) to a hand drawn LFO (which Iā€™d use all the time)

If theyā€™re going to add new FX then it would be dope if they got someone interesting/clever in to code it. For instance, I believe the guy who coded CWO was the same person who coded synplant for apple. Cwo is one of the best FX on the planet, so more of that caliber please :slight_smile:

Hey @HelloOperator the Sketch is like an LFO,itā€™s just hardwired to pitch (and note on/off).Think of it as a pitch envelope.When back in synth mode it transposes with keys just like the Endless and with such a wide speed variation it may have some hidden uses.Admitted Sketching LFOs and waveforms would be good.

The OP-1 has been a rejuvenating miracle elixir for me, I haven't felt this happy about music since my teens! Some suggestions for an OS update:

Wouldn't it be neat if one of the click-encoders in Tape mode would set a volume for the selected audio part? Let's say it's 4 bars of drums on track one. Click+spin encoder, set volume for that part, tadaa!

I'm also in favor of animation between the values when holding down the memorize buttons in Tape mode, and some setting to set that attack/release.

A pre-count for recording would be cool, so there'd be time to go into Synth/Drum mode to go nuts on the knobs. Alternatively ā€“ preferably, actually ā€“ a way to access those knobs while in Tape mode.

And a 2nd LFO!
I'd also like to set the span of the pitch bends.

@Ullbasunen You donā€™t have to be in tape mode to start recording. If you hold down the record button in synth/drum it changes to tape mode but you can keep holding it and change back to synth/drum mode. Or the g-force sensor. It works in every mode.
