@wavi I dropped that picture here before twitter. Did you see the new thread?

@TabascoEye cool stuff thanks for sharing!
Does this mean, that there will be some kind of announce today? Or just regular TE home party?

I wonder if the Op-Z is controlling those lights.
hmmā¦i thought i could lift all tracks holding shiftā¦seems not working anymore in the beta??
ah, forget to set the looping start!

is the new sync (for the op“s) working with a korg minilogue / volcas? this would be cool..Works with volcas for me. Haven't tried Minilogue. Bummer it's not synced to tape. Suggested that to the dev and he said that would make more and is possible so....
Are you synching the OP-1 with the POās/Volcas or vice versa? Is the sync signal coming from the audio output or input?

I sent sync from the op1 output in āNYā mode to a volca which then sent to 4 pocket operators using a passive 4ch mixer. You have to use a splitter from the op1 output since the volca has no audio in. I tried it as soon as I started testing the beta, but never used it again for 2 reasons. First, splitting the signal kills any stereo effects on the master or panning. Also, like the volcas, the sync is always going with no start/stop. With the volcas, pushing play at least resets the pulse so you can control it in time. With NY sync youād have to turn the knob exactly in time to control it. Canāt count on myself to do that perfectly during a gig vs pushing a button.
Thank you @sammyjams Too bad, but I try this with my monoTribe, the loss of stereo wouldnāt bother me in a live situation but theres still the exactly-push-button problem left :o /
⦠otherwise I already ordered the parts to built my own USB host thingy as someone told about it in another thread. Will see if that also works.

Regarding the host thingy Iād love to know more. It sounds interesting. What parts did you order? I bought a soldering iron and some solder. I was always find of it at school, although my experience was limited I experienced success. These child sized hands of mine (Iām not kidding, theyāre so small) have always served me well for fine and minute details. I plan to replace the battery on an old DX7 I picked up for next to nothing tomorrow and Iād love to get more involved with things like soldering electronics.
A USB host is something that I need for probably the identical reason as you. If you could kindly share your idea, Iād be very smiley and sparkly eyed!
Edit: tag @mixrasta.
@TabascoEye
Great stuff! I love what you did to the finger sequencer at twitter :D (https://twitter.com/tabascoeye/status/748253769025085440) I was thinking of modding the Choplifter to be a drone instead and maybe creating a new map for the game.
Could you make a thread outlining the basic process for repackaging? It would be nice to create a unpackage/repackage script so firmware mods could be quickly tested. I havent repackaged yet but I seem to have all I need for that. The hardest was probably getting the CRC-32 right.
I would love to setup a github repository about hacking the OP but maybe you want to do that too? Have you tried messing with the disabled effects? Maybe we could collaborate on this via github or something? I can't wait to see what things people come up with with all this power we have now :D What do you think?
Great idea on the drone! You could rename the game OBAMA STRIKE and drop bombs on beleaguered Pakistani villagers as they wash their clothes in the stream. +50 points for maintaining a 10:1 ratio of signature strikes.
Alternatively you could stay ahead of the curve and keep the objective the same but rename it OPERATION KILLARY. Although on hindsight that game would be more apt if the aim was simply to drink champagne while raising funds for the Irish Republican Army. +50 points for hugging Jerry Adams! Oh Hillary.

no, theyāre on holiday
Sorry for the late postā¦I forgot in what thread it originally was, but it sounded quite easy; you just have to solder a few cables⦠hereās the pdf a forum member uploaded (he found on facebook). @HisMostDarxxxellent
i have the nagging feeling the leak might have delayed the final releaseIf the leak resulted in additional bugs being identified, thereby delaying the release, this can only be a good thing.
@HelloOperator lol thatās hilarious, pun intended! You just made my day!

I seriously doubt a few bugs that showed up in the leak has anything to do with the delay - they were very likely known about and perhaps even fixed before the leak. A delay this long could only be the result of priorities, further design work and testing. Should be worth the wait but Iām guessing we will not see this for quite a while yet.

@mixrasta you are ace!
