Is there a way to use my brilliant iPhone’s AUV3 effects as aux for the OPXY over usb? Best with just a cable and no additional hardware
Rymdigare with the Op-XY: mhhhhh! Yummy!

I just posted this on reddit:
Using my Iphones fantastic AUV3 effects as an external AUX Effect for the OP-XY with as little hardware as possible. Preferably none, but using the USB to Lightning cable didn’t work.
So I remembered this little gadget rotting in one of my drawers: The Rode AI-Micro, a tinissimo interface to connect LAV mics to whatever USB-C you might think of. It works!
it is really small, is fully stereo, leaver USBC and Headphone sockets free, doesn’t need any additional power, sounds decent, though it distorts quite easily, but a bit fiddeling on the RODE Central app cures this.
This will live from now on in my OP-XY bag
Very cool
this is really cool, I want to do something like this with my iPad mini, just doing some research on the AI-micro and noticed this line in the user manual:
The direct monitoring only supports monaural outputs, meaning that even if you are recording using stereo or split mode, the sound from the AI-Micro will be monaural (merged) sound.
You mention it’s fully stereo, is that actually the case?
If you switch off direct Monitoring, it is stereo
Gotcha thanks! I got one of these to give it a go, what did you do to avoid distortion? Just turn down the levels in rode central?
How did you configure your aux 5 track on the op-xy?
