I know that if I’m playing or recording a sequence on the OP-XY with more than one bar, I can freeze the display of the sequence on one of the bars so that it doesn’t change while the pattern plays, but is it possible to loop playback to just that bar? If I’m editing a four bar pattern it can take a while for the pattern to come back around just to hear a small change.

You can loop a pattern page or a part of it. Just put “jump to” step components on the appropriate steps with the appropriate setting (e.g. put a “jump to” step component on the last step with setting of that makes the sequencer jump to the first step).
so if I want to loop bar 12-13 in a 16 bar seq
I just set skip on step 1 to go to 12
and a skip to step 12 on last step of bar 13?
