OP-XY files, loading samples, presets, backing up, naming, editing

I started to upload various drum kits I have into the xy in the drum sampler. Each kit is in its own folder. For example 909 basickit or 909 basickit2. And within are the various one shot sound/bank for that particular kit. The folders are all named with lower case and have 14 or less characters. The wav files within the folders have similar attributes. I put copied the folders to the xy and placed them under the samples folder (not under the user folder in the sampler folder).

I ejected the xy and started a new project and on track 1, I chose the drum engine to load, and now all the pads are blank. I began to load each pad with a sound from the 909 kit1 folder. Once I am done, I hold down track 1 so I can save it as a preset and I rename the snapshot to 909 1 or 909 2. This way so I can just recall the preset with all the pads loaded with drum sounds on any track. (I didn’t name the newly saved preset the same as the folder that I copied to the xy, because I noticed it would be confusing picking to load it)

when I have a new track and load the sounds (shif +track#) to take me to the preset page, I see all the saved (renamed presets) under snapshots. When I plugged the xy back into my computer and browsed the files, I can see the presets folder a new folder called snapshots, and within it are all the new folders for each of my drum kits I created a patch/bank for with the drum sampler and saved as a preset. Inside the new folder (now named 909 are all the same wav sounds along with a patch.json file.

Since the wav files are in two locations now (under snapshots in presets and under samples), can I remove it from the samples folder to avoid duplicates and freeing up space?

Is there a better workflow to load samples, saving them to a patch, naming etc.?

I assume I can move the folders under snapshot and put them in another named folder under presets titled like “Vintage Drums”

Now for the multisampler I noticed when I add a sample like strings c0 and strings c1 and map them out, the tuning of each sample is at +60.00 and not at 0 on the trac page so it sounds very hight pitched, is this a bug? The wav files I am loading are named blue strings c0, blue strings c1, etc. (I read in the guide it says the xy detect the pitch automatically, or you can write it in the file name like I have it, but th pitch is way off. I tried different files too. coming at +60 tuning on each one. does anyone know the sample rate the xy likes to read? I tried this with 16bit and 24bit versions of the same sample. Now when I loaded it into the a pad on the drum sampler it adjusted to 0.0 pitch…
