I know that i can press a step button to see what keys are pressed for that step, but is there anyway to do it the other way around?
When I’m programming a drum sequence, I often want to see where all the snare hits are, for example. I’d like to be able to press the key that has the snare and see it light up on the step sequencer.
Can’t seem to figure this out, and maybe it’s not there.
Not sure if you’re referring to the manual or the Cheat Sheet. The former is available on the TE web site. The Cheat Sheet is on SynthDawg’s web site
I’ve been very pleased with Synthdawg’s documentation. It’s usually the place I turn to first when I need an answer. TE’s docs are free, but they tend to be a bit thin and sometimes more fun than helpful.
focus loop - hold a sound, tap rec while holding that sound, keep pressed and enter new trigs on a separate „focused“ lane
locked focus loop - hold a sound, hold shift, tap rec while holding that sound and shift and insert a trig (still holding note and shift) it’s now a locked focus loop so it will stay in that view and therefore can be more easily charged with step components.
step components do work even on the non locked focus loop (you need to hold the sound key all the time and simultaneously insert step components and their respective functions) it‘ll automatically switch back to the normal view once you‘ve let go of the soundkey
