Don’t get me wrong
I miss my op-z but this is makin me not care anymore about the loss that was

I think it this goes on sale for the prices some said the op1field brand new went for from retailer website (1400-1600) I’m going to get one

I doubt the field was ever lower than 1600, but if not, then I could dream this might hit 1500

XY is really awesome

I was hastily going to ask how did you become a beta tester. Then I decided to check your videos and it made sense why TE chose you as a beta tester instead a synthfluencers with red arrow and a shocked pikachu face as thumbnails. Subscribed and thanks for your educational materials.

That’s great news to hear about the sound engines. Hopefully they will add many more over the next months/years. I’d love to see some sort of Granular fx also. Not only for the XY but also for the op-1 field.

If not you know how to make it haha

Yeah my friend says the sound engines are as good as the op1F, I mean he ā€œprefersā€ them actually but I love the op-1f sound engines and I don’t think they are outdone by any means by the xY - but the XY has serious sound update from the op-z

But you didn’t have the op-z iirc

Anyway you’re gonna crush it and I look forward to your vids

Edit - oops, you were quoting, well ā€œmy friendā€ knows what I mean lol - string engine rules

Mine is all ordered from TE. Have any UK folks had theirs delivered or have you been notified it’s on the way?

I live in the UK and I ordered from TE on the 16th, I got the shipping confirmation today (21st). Due to be delivered early next week.

not on mine unfortunately, its too tight. i saw others reporting different things, sometimes the decksaver fits, sometimes you need to carve out a space for the pitch bend…

Ordered on release day. Mine is here now.

Aside from the massive pitch bend issue I’m having, I experienced what may be another bug or limitation.

I set a track to maximum length (4 bars + bar length 16), and began playing in live over a sequenced drum and bass pattern.

around the halfway point the track stopped recording in notes, but record remained armed and red (and I hadn’t pressed any buttons)

So I figure I hit the maximum note count possible. Tested it a couple more times and found that if I smashed in a bunch of notes it didn’t last long at all, like 8ish bars (again, tons of notes)

Maybe I missed it but I don’t recall hearing or thinking that there was a pattern data maximum?

I wonder if your broken pitch bend is swamping the track with midi data?

I was able to recreate this, so I’ll record a video later to send TE’s way. I wondered if it was a track maximum like you mentioned, but I was able to slowly record in notes for 8 bars, then had a full 8 bars of cramming in a ton of notes, then it stopped recording… maybe some kinda buffer issue? I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Thanks for passing it along!

I’m happy to write things here and elektronauts because I enjoy the forum and it’s publicly out there
but I’m not a beta tester so I’m not really gonna go through the process of submitting a bunch of tickets to TE :joy:
That’s what beta testers are for! I’m just a regular schmo, who in the past has balked at folks who were vocal about the issues they were having.

Now on the other end of the stick I totally get it :face_with_spiral_eyes:

The op-xy really looks impressive, much deeper than the op-z, unfortunately I think it may lose the immediate workflow of the op-z, and its small format, which is what attracts me most of op-z. I hope to one day see a real op-z field, same small format, better build quality, and some of the op-xy’s improvements, until then I’ll keep waiting for it.
