Op-z ambient sketch

Been loving making tracks on the op-z. I think the op-1 is better at ambient still, but the op-z is still really powerful and fun.

Nice! Can you share a little more on what you like about making ambient stuff on OP-1 vs OP-Z?

Op-1 feels more exploratory for patch making. There’s infinite possibilities. But the op-z is great for quicker results with easy sequencing. Step components are great for randomization. Also they have said more effects are coming to the op-z. I hope they will get better reverbs and delays. Maybe a shimmer reverb or octaver, and a tape echo. Fingers crossed.

Thanks. Would the techniques you used to create your ambient sketch be applicable to this “drone demo”?

I was directed to it by somebody who claims there is a drone mode on the OP-Z

Drone mode is great with lfo page. Haven’t used it in a project yet.

Here’s another ASMR ambient creation.

Very nice…love that demos coming out are sounding different now.
Also I think it is great that you can have a little light show even without DMX connected.

How does the drone mode work?

Probably a mix of adsr/gate settings to avoid noises on looped steps.
