OP-Z and oplab sync with pocket operators: global clock vs sequenced sync

I’m interested in using the sync capabilities afforded by the oplab with the op-z.

In addition to using a click track with panning and avoiding the oplab entirely, and using the op-z/oplab’s po sync feature, there seems to be a way of sequencing the clock signal as cv.

My understanding of the standard po sync feature is that it is an endless global clock (manually turn it on or off), but by sequencing the clock signal as an instrument track, one could trigger the current pattern stored on the po as part of a longer chain of patterns.

Am I correct, and has anyone tried this?
