OP-Z app on MacOS needs some work

Maybe someone here has a little more experience with the app and can give me some tips. So, I plugged in the op-z with the usb cable and opened the MacOS app on my 2018 MacBook Pro (fast, lean, and never had a problem running any CPU-intensive stuff). I thought I had a brilliant idea: I was going to make a new screen recording using the op-z as the audio interface. That part actually worked and the audio sounds great. One problem is the latency but, still not a dealbreaker. So I made my little video of the punch-in effects sequenced and everything was good. However, there is absolutely nothing in the Photomatic or Motion pages on the app. It’s all there when I use the iOS app but sadly, not on the Mac. The biggest frustration was after 2 or 3 minutes, the laptop fans kicked on and I thought it was going to blow up. As soon as I quit the op-z app, it calmed down. Anybody have any experience with this? I feel like the op-z is ALMOST there but whenever I have a good idea to utilize it’s features (the app visuals, audio interface capability), there’s always a caveat. I love this device, just wish it was a little more stable. I have the most current version of the MacOS app and I’m running High Sierra 10.13.6. I don’t want to update the macOS because it always breaks something.

I experienced the same problem. have a much older Macbook (2012), but i´m happy with it and can do a lot of audio recordings with it. But yes video work and unity 3D stuff eats up a lot of power. Photomatic and Motion specially slowing down everthing, so i usualy use my iphone (6s) and sync it in obs with the audio from opz. Or i record directly on iphone via usb-lightning from op-z, that seems to me more easy. But also on iphone you empty in minutes your battery charge. The app takes a lot of processing aswell.
