OP-Z Audio Through? Using another synth with OP-Z without needing a mixer?

Is the irig 2 mono?

saw this post quite late, but I think I have a solution to your problem. I had exactly the same problem of the music cutting out to the beat.

try to do it in this order (important):
1. connect the input to the splitter
2. connect splitter to OP-Z
3. connect headphones/speakers to the splitter

I found out that if I connect the headphones last, the sound never cut out!!!

Hope this helps some people, as the problem drove me mad

It is. And even if you could input a stereo signal, the TRRS connector will turn it to mono since it only has one input

Output is stereo, though

This works! Fantastic tip.

Thanks, so the splitter cable with the OP-Z takes a stereo signal and combines/sums the L+R to mono?
Does the iRig 2 do the same thing of combining/summing the L+R, or does it just listen to the left (or right) channel?

great!

There are three poles on a TRRS connection (since one of them is ground). This means the output is stereo and the input is mono (usually the mic on a hands-free). I haven’t made a test yet with a TRS cable into the input, but my guess is that the left channel would be the only signal which goes to the OP-Z (or a mobile device)
