OP-Z iOS 14.2.1 app insane battery

How is your experience with OP-Z iOS 14.2.1 app guys? It doesn’t generate any sounds etc, but seems like it is very heavy battery drainer. I wish TE could optimise this, as this is “just a screen” app. I think it is using more battery than many advance soft synths on iOS.

Yes unfortunately it is programmed horribly. Entirely based on Unity. So I think it’s more like running a game. Try using it on a Mac and you can hear the fans going nuts after 1 Minute

If you got a MacBook with integrated and discrete gfx you can work around this by disabling gfx switching when running on battery using terminal command.

edit: disabling turbo boost also saves battery
