OP1 xmas 2014?

I’d like to reserve “Carol of the Bells / Original music title is: Shchedryk (instrumental)”

Daaaamn I wanted Tino Rossi’s “Petit Papa Noël” !!!

Everytime I check for a music to be in the public domain or not, I end pretty angry.
If I understand correctly, I can actually sell a CD with “Petit Papa Noël” (the version from 1947), but not use this song as main matter for a tweked song.
WTF ?!?!!

Mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I’ll take the 12 Days of Christmas.

I am thinking of adding or switching to Christmas Rhapsody, the movie is public domain but is the music anyone know?

I’d like to reserve “O Holy Night”! I’m looking forward to this very much!

I would like to bagsie In the Bleak Midwinter please, got a weekend of OP-1 fun planned!

I’m in, and would like to call dibs on Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.

Being (perhaps) the only Scottish member in these parts I'd like to do "Auld Lang Syne"

It's not a Christmas carol but a poem written by Rabbie Burns set to an old folk song. It's a song that says goodbye to the old year and welcomes the new.

Can I propose that it's perhaps the last song in the tracklist in the release?

I two questions with regards to the release. this isn’t getting sold is it - it’s just a download?

I’m asking as I may see permission to sample part of an old old version of “Auld Lang Syne” for a little part of my version of the song. It is free for non-commercial use although I will have to credit the source.

Will I be able to have a credit added somewhere in either the artwork or the bandcamp page if I get permission?

Great idea to get a xmas compilation album together!

It’s not public domain so I guess I’ll miss out on the comp, but felt in the spirit anyway

@spacetravelmadeeasy
The album will be offered as a free download, like the previous one.
There will be a very limited space for credits in the back-cover; you can see that here:
https://unacasasullaluna.bandcamp.com/album/op-1-xmas-2013 (graphics included as bonus items · download)
but if the text is short, there shouldn’t be any problem, I’ll try to fit it in.
