You mean the bootloader is f++ked up? Otherwise you can simply do it yourself…
Can you describe the symptoms? What happens, when you power up while holding COM button?
i’ll have to unbox it, it’s been packed up to mail for a few months. if i remember correctly something went wrong during a past firmware update, and it’s just stuck on the screen where you can upload the firmware.
i’ve got an RMA, TE seemed to think i needed to send it in. but if there’s new hope, i’m interested in hearing it…

the first line is:
\src\db2\db2.cpp:273 Can’t open /yaffs2content/tape.db
i assume this means a database is corrupted
if I boot while holding down COM
I get the TE-BOOT screen with the standard options
If I try to install the latest firmware using the described method. It seems to work, but then the screen just gets stuck on “tests 0 through 257 complete”
the version of TE-BOOT is 1.35
I’ve also tried factory reset, format drive, etc. no luck.
