I purchased a PO-28 at ebay and it appears to have a malfunction: When I hold the button “sound” and press any key “1-16”, it stops doing anything. No reaction to any button pressed, display freezes. No sound.
Do you have an idea what this is? I´m a total noob to synthesizers as well as to pocket operators, but I´m very curious.
Can you help me with that?

i dont think there are fake POs out there but if you bought it on ebay maybe the previous user was having issues too but didnt realise quite what was wrong - got bored and sold it.
I’ve bought a few on ebay with small problems - one of the lights doesn’t work on my Arcade (which is sometimes bloody annoying/confusing) and there seems ot be something wierd with my Speak - i’ll spend a whole evening sampling and making patterns and then the next day it has reverted back to the previously stored patterns! eurgh!
