Eventually it would be nice to change the effect presets through the mic too. For example I would’ve liked a beat repeat effect like some of the 2nd generation have.
^ PO-32 has two different beat repeat effects, in addition to the same step multiplier from previous generations.
I don't think you can tweak the effects, but you can record a layer of effects then trigger other momentary effects to mix it up. It sucked that you couldn't do this on older PO's.
You can have 2 FX at one time?

Yeah but I want half time beat repeat. I guess like a stutter effect at 1/8, 1/16. Po-32’s is too fast for my liking. Still ok though.
It says in the documentation that knob B is morph. If morph can handle a bunch of parameter changes, it would essentially double the amount of sounds one could toss onto the PO-32.
Indeed ! One of the best features on the tonic - having two sounds in one slot.
1) Move the morph slider to one side
4) Load a different sound preset
Voilà - happy crossfading !
I haven’t even gotten to Microtonic yet… Only had the PO-32 for about an hour. But holy hell. Holy holy hell. It’s awesome. Just did a couple of quick jams with it an Volca FM and Octatrack. Man. Just. Aghast.

Here is how to load two preset sounds and morph them in Microtonic, then throw them onto the PO.
1) Move the morph slider to one side2) Load a sound preset3) Move the morph slider to the other side
4) Load a different sound preset5) Upload to PO

Oh damn, I had no idea you could load two sounds/presets with morph. I was just loading one sound and editing parameters for the other side of the slider.
When will the standalone version come out?? I’m dying to get my hands on one but don’t want utonic.
I’m not around a computer to test this idea, but… I’m wondering if the PO-32 recognizes panning from Microtonic. Could be dope to use morph for left/right pan to get more of a stereo vibe.
Update: Panning isn’t applied in the PO. It was a longshot, but would’ve been super cool.
I have tried to work a bit on Microtonic this weekend.

Would you guys post your demos? Would love to hear the all around “flavors” of PO-32. I’d like to snag microtonic as well, but I’d worry how OCD I’d get while gluing me more to the desktop.
Here’s a clip jamming with my cousin last night. We used a PO tonic, PO sub, OTO BAM, into Octatrack.
Random jams nothing fancy lol;)
Haha! @lyingdalai the duck/goose pic! <3 it
Love the polyrythmic feel. I will defs be picking up a 32 within the next 12 months. Just many tones I’ve heard from it. I’m sold.
@skintechnician makes me wanna get a bam. Still, I love my bluesky and I have a ct5 on the way.
Hi,
Hi AFS, ok a couple of questions and forgive me if they seem ridiculous but just checking…first, have you got your headphones/speakers plugged into the right hand side of the unit and not the left? Second, what kind of jack are you plugging in - is it a stereo 3.5mm? Oh and a third, presuming you have all the other connections set up right do you have the volume on the unit turned to a reasonable level (bpm+1-16)?
5Starnomad. Thank you my friend, for I in fact had the headphone jack plugged in the left instead of the right.
On the PO-32, volume reset to 3 when off, instead of keeping the same volume for the previous series… And volume raises gradually !
So good for the ears !!!
They’ve been smart to rethink the whole interaction !
Just dropping in to gush about this little guy. Holy crap, it’s my absolute favorite of all of them. Instantly playable, extremely jammable, great default sounds. The effects are fucking stellar.
Totally !
