Hi everyone,
Recently I bought a used PO-33 with the lock pad broken off. Soldering a connection between the two pads did not seem to have any effect. I tried soldering and de-soldering several times (just in case) and confirmed a connection with a multimeter but I cannot get the PO to reset to factory settings.
Has anyone experienced a behaviour like this? Is there still hope, and what could be the problem?
Thank you
so it still saying “noP” when u go to sample?
longshot but u could try factory reset see if it jumpstarts it
otherwise if u have the two pads connected
and it still not letting u sample
it might mean that the connection is broken somewhere between the pad and the chip itself
which is not as easy of a thing to suss out
it never resets properly and I only get the “noP” message when trying to record something. I soldered the reset pads again with no success.
Unfortunately, the previous owner did not put very much effort into preparing proper samples before breaking off the lock pad
