Does the MX-1 do midi sync over USB with the OP-1?

I bought a Roland TB-3 recently. Very easy and fun to program and sounds really good. Thinking about getting a TR-8 to go with it, but then again I really need a mixer. Would love to have the MX-1, but at the moment it’s out of my price range.

TB3 -great synth,great sequencer @tjp1

I’m sorry to sound like a complete amateur but I don’t know. This stuff is all new to me after coming out of the box which is not to be confused with Barbie’s Ken, he always cums in a different box, but I’ve digressed.

I’m not at the ‘live show performance stage’ so I just play stuff in and jam. I love it like that for now.

Sorry I couldn’t be of anymore help to you. Also the info and tips on the MX-1 doesn’t exist because of its ‘new’ status. We can’t just put a question into Google and get a instant tut so lots of questions and niggles I have remain with me for now.

Bought an Octatrack last week. What have I done?

@wildfrontiers My 2 cents : dedicate yourself to the instrument for a few weeks !

It’s rewarding, I promise.

I have found myself checking for Octatracks every evening on eBay. And I thought I was content with my set-up, my subconscious disagrees!

Tried reading the manual last night, it may as well be in Greek for all the sense I could make of it. Sounds like sound advice @LyingDalai !!

It’s not THAT hard.

It’s deep, that’s all.
Break the learning into small pieces that you master, THEN you’ll think of using it for musical performance

The difficulty comes in the use of unusual names for things, pickup machine, thru machine, flex samples, static samples etc. Think I will watch cuckoo's workflow video again.

After reading the manual, watching tutorials and reading tips on the Elektronauts forums, I feel like I have a very basic idea of what I want to do…or at least how to learn what to do  Now, just to wait until Friday when it arrives and I can get my grubby paws on it.

@wildfrontiers - the best thing you have ever done! OT rules forever, you need nothing more that OT+OP1! Seriously… Good move

When I can afford it I will buy back the Octatrack for the third time. It’s the first thing to go when I need to finance something else, but I always come back to it.

can’t hardly wait for BAM & BOUM

The OT finally arrived over the weekend! Holy crap this thing is awesome. I’ve found the workflow to pleasantly mesh very well with the way I work so far. I still have a lot to learn, I’d say I’ve covered maybe 10% of what this machine can do. Had so much fun sampling the PO-12 and messing with slices.

Ordered one of those Midipal clones, the Midibro from Audiothingies as well. Should open up some new avenues for some of my gear.

I picked up an Akai MPC 1000 a week after I got my Op-1.

I love my equipment. I am over the universe with it, but I am at my wits end. I need to get my song into Logic on separate tracks so I can mix it down.

I created a video which spells out my predicament;

I’m feeling as desperate as Kevin’s mum in Home Alone. Please help!!

Unless you have JJOS on your MPC you can’t record audio tracks I believe. You need an audio interface, with as many inputs as you have pieces of gear ideally.

I just bought a Volca Sample.
Not that I really NEED it...
But with the summer coming...

^^

^you did well
