I’m running firmware 15.7. I bought a set of 20 OP1F presets from Son Wu. Out of the 20 total presets, only 5 are recognized by the OP1F. Here is what I’ve tried:
- Backed up my data and did a factory reset and copied the 20 presets back over to the synth folder via Field Kit (only 5/20 presets are detected)
- Renamed the presets and tried a different file extension (*.aif and *.aiff) (only 5/20 presets are detected)
- Son Wu has been super helpful and re-sent me the presets using the files that work on his OP1F (same problem–only 5/20 presets are detected)
Anyone else had an issue where one OP1F will recognize the exact same file and another will not?
Do you have a bunch of other presets installed? Maybe you reached the limit already?
No, not at all. And especially after a factory reset there were 0 custom presets. It is a puzzler
is it always the same 5 or is it a different set of 5 each time?
u could also try to reformat the drive if u haven’t already
(is that an option on the field? it is on the OG)

Yes, it is the same 5 presets. Is formatting the drive different that’s factory wipe? Meaning, I’m booting up with CMD held down and doing option 7. If there’s another way I’m open to trying. They are all synth presets. And they all work on many other people’s OP1F.

so it may be different
but in the COM boot menu there is another option to reformat the drive
which yes is different than a factory reset
on the OG its listed as option 8 in the menu
