Hi there, has anyone found a way to record parameter automation that’s driven by an external MIDI controller? I can get note trigs, pitch bend, aftertouch, and velocity to record when sent my external devices. But when I try to send something like filter cutoff it doesn’t record. Interestingly, I can hear and see during record time that the filter is moving; the movement just doesn’t actually record.
I’m doing this after pressing REC+PLAY to arm, then having the external device send PLAY transport and all its control subsequently.
I can get it record external CC automation to work when I just hold REC after play has already started, but that’s far less precise since the external device can’t know exactly when to send it’s message.
