Hi, i have a pattern, i am using the teenage engineering headset, i have the aux track on, with effects etc. i am singing over the pattern. and i want to record this. i want to record what i’m hearing externally*, and i want to avoid having to sample vocals. how do i do this? it doesn’t seem to work using the build in recorder either. is there a way around having to sample vocals?
No, there are no audio tracks on the XY.
i mean record externally, like record what i’m hearing in the headphones with the mic turned on. like if i had a trrs splitter could one be the headset and one to go to a recording device, or something? or is there a different way?
Could you send audio over USB? That’s usually how I record from my OP-XY. If you connect it, then it’ll come up as a USB audio interface and then you can select that as the input in whatever software you want to use. Even works with a phone.
ah yeah this works, but there’s a buzz/hum when i’m plugged into my phone…maybe the usb power?
If you hear buzz/hum when OP-XY is connected to a device via USB turn off charging in system menu.
