Replacement Encoder Dials

My dials got grit and Fanta inside them and two are not turning quite freely.

I noticed TE doesn’t supply replacement parts at this time and direct you to their partner iFixIt.

I did actually order a replacement volume switch from them but it didn’t arrive and I just use tweezers it’s fine.

But the wire is frayed and losing connection now. Is this wire interchangeable with any usc-c cable? Because I used one that just came with a lint remover to recharge it and that didn’t work.

So do I just need a good usb cable?

I take it iFixIt is your replacement part ‘partner’ now, but the man who makes replacement encoders is just one man and I don’t expect it will be a quick or cheap process.

I would encourage you to supply replacement parts for the power dial for the OP-Z, which does in fact remove without any resistance and if you are me, you break it but I could just as easily lost it.

The dials get clogged up and are the most likely part to fail (after the power knob) and I have one with a bit of grit inside it going round and round which quite literally grates.

I managed to keep pulling a thread of cotton around it as I turned the metal bit around and around and now the motion is at least fairly smooth / without resistance.

But I would appreciate not having to organise a man with a 3D printer to get replacement parts.

I don’t really appreciate having to spend £200 on a second hand one just because you don’t supply a replacement encoder dial or a similar price paying for 3D printing and spotty customer service. Especially when almost every other part of the device is available from TE themselves from the real factory, not a man with a 3D printer.

Thanks.
