This is a somewhat silly suggestion, but if you’re looking for an FX unit, you might consider buying Juno Gi. Its reverbs are fairly standard and don’t have a lot of parameters, but you can combine two of them: one for dry input and another for the input processed by a chain of other effects. There is EQ, compression, a few choruses, noise suppression, delay and a bunch of other effects in the chain. None of them are super-advanced or super-configurable, but it can create a variety of ambient sounds in the end.
Now, for a fake FX box Juno Gi migth be a bit pricey (you would definitely want to look for cheap deal on ebay), but you get bazillion other features, plus a decent keyboard/synth, and all of it works off batteries.
@clay1st the reverb on a (mono) track and the one you can use on the mixer (stereo) are totally different in sounding (same for Phone effect) : the stereo adds a lot to the reverb, it can get deeper with this one.
