Rhythm Roulette for OP-1! Les Dudiss!!

OK so i did a little Rhythm Roulette vid of my own:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdPssjZ_fmA

…and I’d like to bring the challenge here to Operator One.
Who’s game to take the challenge? Here’s the specifics (for online purposes):

  1. A non-competing 3rd-party chooses (3) COMPLETE albums; all available (in full) on YouTube. VINYL RIPS PREFERRED!!
  2. Go to town! Use one, two or all three records to create a beat. Getting your drums from the sources is obviously preferred!
  3. Make a 1 min. mix to “record”.
  4. Post a link here to the results.
It’s a lot of fun and I hope you’ll join me!

I’ll set a “submit by” date, once we see how the response is.

Les Dudiss!!

that is one fine track!
i don’t think i have the skills to make something that good. but i’ll give it a go…
can i sample from my records, instead of youtube? i have about 1,000 of my records listed on discogs if someone wants to randomly choose three. they are mostly my 12". i’m happy using those instead of albums.

Thanks for the compliment, first off.

The idea is we all use the same albums, and competitors don’t get to pick their own choices; it’s random (like in the vid). Though it’s not looking much like anyone is game to play, so go ahead and do it. If you tell me in advance what records you’re going to use, I can probably track them down on YouTube and go that route.

Nice tune!
And I like the rhythm roulette idea.
Thinking of adding a turntable to my setup too.

Nice. I did this a while back with 3 80s boogie vinyls and jammed some bits on top. All done in in OP-1, went a step further and pressed the op-1 track onto one off vinyl. There’s nothing better than sampling vinyl and jamming with it on the op-1. Let’s do more! https://www.instagram.com/p/BN4K51JANDY/?taken-by=gareth.jones33

Feels like an Arthur Russell joint! Check my OP stuff on IG here: @unflattered #ringofthenibblefunk

ah, OK. i thought maybe my 1000+ records on discogs might be vast enough to count as random.
can’t say i have much interest in sampling from youtube.

That’s too bad, because I’m pulling in HD vinyl Polish jazz rips from there that sound like honeyed gold into that OP. But a selection from your collection is OK by me!
