my sweetwater rep just told me shipping in USA has slipped to september by their official notification… which means obviously october like the EU release rumor, if that timeframe holds. makes sense given the original later EU ship date…

haha welcome to the club man. i’m not really that sour about it. i just stopped caring months ago w/ all the hoopla. mostly hoopla generated from users mind you, not TE themselves. like i’ve previously stated.
i wouldn’t be surprised if they just weren’t saying anything about it until the day
but it is strange that they are saying there is no event.
i also wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t do it.
at this point i wouldn’t be that surprised by anything.

ok hardcore fans, tobias @ te here. i was the .one crying with tears of joy at superbooth back in may, finally allowed to announce an official launch date for OP-Z. man, what an honor! i personally love this thing and been waiting for something like it for a long time, that’s why it was so emotional. for the first time, everything was finally going as planned!? should’ve know better. 
- so what has happened? all i know is this, i was on vacation for a week and after that i went to the uk to meet up with symon to do some work. he told me there had been a chemical leak at the factory next to ours, thus causing the area, including our OP-Z factory to shut down operation for a few weeks. a little while later i saw the official internal te email stating the same. due to our super tight production plan this meant we were not going to be able to supply moma with the quantities required, and our (rather grand) plans could not be realized and had to be cancelled. this of course put everybody off but facts are facts and apparently no one got directly hurt at that other factory which is good. so indeed rip OP-Z hype! however, long live OP-Z! since we couldn’t cancel flights or hotel rooms we’ll go anyway. we’ve shipped a handful of pre-production units (hope they’ll clear customs) so if you’re in town please check our insta for updates on where we’ll be. this may look as a carefully planned ‘teenage’ marketing scheme, however it’s rather us trying to do the best with what we’ve got. no hype, just a bad ass sequencer. come talk to us! OP-Z love!
