RK-006 simultaneously with OP-1 and other gear

I’ve read quite a bit about the RK-006, but still unsure would it be THE solution for my setup, so here goes:

Can the RK-006 work as a USB-host for OP-1 AND as a midi-thru simultaneously? The “MERGE/THRU BOX PRESET” seems to be the one, if this is possible.

And if I’m not unclear enough yet, my goal is to:

  • HOST the OP-1 and sequence it with Octatrack
  • clock and sequence other gear simultaneously with Octatrack

The obvious solution would be Miditech/Kenton USB-host and MIDI thru, but would rather have this all done in one box, hence RK-006
