Saving tracks into the op-1

does anyone here recommend clicking the “ear” and recording tracks into the sampler or beats instead of recording to the “vinyl” or the 4 track in order to save extra materials on the op-1?

I feel like i keep filling up my 4 track tape area with ideas and then it gets super messy. trying to find a better way to save and organize ideas without having to keep using my computer.

I wish the op-1 would allow people to save several of those 4 track tape segments to a folder or something. that would be a huge game changer!

If you’re going to work some ideas at the same tape speed, you can use the entire tape as sections. Remember that the OP-1 is a full integrated modern sound machine with a reel to reel tape recorder (70’s way of recording), so you’d have to work a project at a time. At work, you have to think like a reel to reel 4 multi-track recording engineering.
