Is the halo on this op-1 screen normal? Almost never use it at night and just noticed this just a few days ago… 
Can anyone confirm if this is normal or just another broken unit? Everything on it works just looks weird to me that it has that
its pretty common. shouldn’t really affect anything. are you able to see everything on the screen ok or does it white out and obscures the screen contents?
No its all really clear and responsive its just that i noticed and wondered if that was normal or could impact the lifespan of the unit. I still hve that onboard mic problem so if i can i would swap the unit but we ll see still no second reply from TE… but if its normal to see that halo on some units i dont mind it as long as it doesnt affect the lifespan

It might be a humidity thing.
Literally lives in a drawer with a dehumidifier on it
This has been documented on various OP-1F units. Some are worse other than others. I dont think it will lead to any problems. There is a thread on this topic here on this forum. I have the same issue.
