Screen protector film

Does OP ship with one? Mine looks unprotected. Anyone bothering to stick one on?

It doesn’t come with one - TE sell one. I used a spare mobile phone screen protector and cut it to suit.

Same here!

Same with nintendo DS screen protector. Any screen protection is good for the OP-1. Price is the difference :wink:

And the TE one is crap apparently.

I may be mistaken but I’m sure I read somewhere that later units have a higher quality screen cover which doesn’t scratch as much.

I should have added that my attempt at protecting the screen ended with a big bubble in the screen which actually annoys the shit out of me!!! Take care when fitting.

True, or seems to be. My kiddie os coming up to being a year old and so far now screen scratches.

@jim what’s bad about TE’s screen protector?

Can be said about many of TE accessories. 19USD for an mini external antenna? fuck that I bought one on ebay for a dollar.

Buy a tablet screen protector and cut out rectangles. I had enough to make some for all my pocket operators too.

Can you provide a link from the actual item you bought and what are the user experiences with it. I just found this one > http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5mm-6DBI-Jack-External-Antenna-Signal-Booster-For-Mobile-Cell-Phone-/281787449238?hash=item419bd73f96:g:cyQAAOSw0JpV5suR

I’ve always used an external speaker with my OP-1 (x-mini2) and it also acts as an aerial.

Thats strange as the antenne needs to go into the record-input and not in the headphones-output (correct me if im wrong)

With the new OS headphones double up as an antenna.

mine works this way with all the firmwares.

I saw in the manual that it needs to go into the record-input https://www.teenageengineering.com/guides/op-1accessories

I’ve just tested mine - static thru the internal speaker and crystal clear radio the instant i plug in the x-mini. Nothing in the line input… I’ll put up a video if you want.

Video’s are always good for the community :smiley:
