maybe it’s me, but i cannot find a way for OP-XY to shift the sequence steps, don’t mean nudge, i mean really shifting 1 step right or left.
Also, if i add bars and i want to copy bar 1 to bar 3, there is a way to do that ?
going crazy, those are really some basic features for a 2k instrument, i really hope i am missing something. the manual also doesn’t help in this regards, it’s hard to browse and many things are displaced.

no i also have OP-Z… and you can actually shift steps right or left… and they left out this funcionality… what they were thinking ???
No idea, but there’s literally dozens of things you could say that about with the XY. Just got lean into what it can do and try not to get too hung up on what it can’t do I guess.
You can actually copy bar 1 to bar 3 and bar 2 to bar 4 by holding bar and shift and pressing +: OP–XY guide: sequencer

I was very impressed by the latest update and price drop.. so much so that it went into my nr#1 place as next buy …
But this is a huge feature for me .. Its one of the joys of working with advanced step sequencers … try out dif timings and arrangements on the fly and save as new patterns ..
This is close to a dealbreaker for me … Tonverk getting a massive update next week .. Granular playback etc … and as much hassle as it is to have to go from a single portable instruments with all built in mic, speaker, power, Bluetooth, midi/CV … and all its creative seq power and hopes of Drum synth, 2nd LFO and more FX on the horizon … I must say without being able to rotate tracks in backwards /forwards in time .. I’m willing to sacrifice all the convenience of the XY for a Tonverk + powerbank, small controller, portable speakers, bunch of cables, just a whole mess in a back-pack… thats how VIP this feature is!
I hope this gets implemented, as I use this feature a lot in other sequencers. If it is in opz there might be good chances hopefully
Yhea my ADHD just rang to tell me I had already put this high on the wishlist … but I thought it got implanted already .. Its top stuff specially if you consider rotation step FX and tape locks … bunch of happy accidents and cool remix of grooves… but then again we need to reflect on the 9 pattern per track limit here aswell … I would be doing a lot of resampling to compensate (which could also be updated to a quick & simple render/re-sample to pad path .. so it only takes a second to do …
Right now TE really have to step up the game .. The TV is just nuts, it’s an incredible sound/groove designer now with the granular engine implanted … hard to resist ..
Still hoping TE pulls something amazing off in the next OS.. The format has its own pros .. Nothing beats it for portability
Can you use the skip compoment to mimmick this feature … like say on step 1 and then on a later step to set the rotation cycel?
but that would lose steps on the pattern if you have all the steps triggering.
