This Saturday, January 12th, the site will go down for a planned upgrade/migration. Our objective is to ditch Vanilla and move the operator-1 site to Discourse. The site will go down around 10am PST and it may be down for the rest of the day. It’s hard to tell how long the migration will take, but we should be back up some time in the evening.
While we will do our best to preserve everything currently on operator-1, I apologize in advance for anything that doesn’t make it over in one piece.
The most important point is this: PASSWORDS. Due to the difference in password hashing schemes between platforms, your password will no longer work on the new site and you will need to use the forgot password utility to reset your account. Please make sure your email address is current and correct so you can get back in quickly.
In case you get locked out of the site and need help getting back in, we’ve set up an email address so that you can contact us directly: help@operator-1.com.
Our new site will have dedicated sections for OP-1, OP-Z and Pocket Operators and will be hosted at https://op-forums.com. After the move, operator-1.com will automatically link you to the correct category on OP-Forums, which means you will see OP-1 posts only. Current OP-Z and PO posts will be moved to their correct categories, which will also be accessible via the domain names https://operator-z.com and https://pocket-operators.com. Of course the OP-Forums site will also allow you to switch between categories at any time, or see posts from all categories at once.
Hopefully this will keep us going happy and healthy for the years to come B)
