[SOLVED] Brain not following pattern notes after manual settings

I am not sure if this is intended behaviour or not, but when i set the scale manually, and I play notes on Brain, it correctly changes the notes.
If i record the sequence on the pattern, it doesn’t follow what i recorded: the notes stay the same.

Even after returning to non-manual mode, if i record the pattern, still, the pattern is not followed. it’s like i didn’t record anything.

Is this the normal behaviour or is it a bug ? i would find it very weird if this was the intended behaviour.

Any of you experienced the same ?

one additional detail (maybe i am doing something wrong) I see a red M appearing when the transport steps on a recorded step. what that means ?

Sorry, nevermind, found the problem… for some reason the brain track got muted on the mixer.
I leave this post here for future reference.
